Douglas Gordon Ince

Doug passed away on Jan 31 ,2024 in the Aberdeen Hospital at the age of 95. Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late James (Jim)and Elsie Ince. Doug enjoyed life to the fullest.

He was a lifelong resident of Stellarton. He loved his many years as a boy scout leader. A very successful business man, Doug operated a confectionery wholesale business. Doug was a familiar face at the YMCA for over 50 years (The Greeter). His favorite place was the camp, and anywhere there was a country music jam. Doug loved being with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of 72 years Susan, daughter Marlene, son Mike (Shelly Foley), son-in-law Michael Hartlen ,2 grandsons and a special great grandson. Doug was predeceased by his parents James (Jim) and Elsie Ince, brother Vernon and his eldest daughter Charlene.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service by Doug’s request.
