Mike, Shelly and Family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very sad time. Doug will never be forgotten by his family and many friends. Our favourite memory is when he came he would come to the house and toot the horn until we heard him. Many a chat we had before he went to the camp. He was so happy and cheerful and brought a smile with him when he came. He and Denny were great to Ian when he was sick and many a crib game we played with them both. Ian will miss seeing him and playing cards with him. You were so lucky to have him for so long and for him to be so active right up until the end.
Once again our deepest condolences to you all. We will sure miss him...his beautiful smile and twinkle in his eye and great sense of humour. RIP old friend!

I’m so sorry to read this.
I always enjoyed my interactions with Doug either at the Y or at Glen Haven Manor when he used to come in to visit some of the residents.
I’ll crack the bottle of wine he gave me for his 90th and drink a toast to his wonderful spirit.
Condolences to his family. Liz MacIntosh
