Marion Shirley Greenshields

Born July 28, 1926 Thorburn, Nova Scotia

Died January 5, 2025 Kingston Ontario

Predeceased by parents Earl and Helen (Kirkwood) Crockett, first husband William Stevenson Greenshields, step-son William Greenshields, and son Stephen Greenshields and second husband James Girvan Fraser and by her beloved sister Molly Jackson.

Survived by Molly’s children Kathryn (Dave MacPhee), Robert, and Jane; her godson Douglas Dorken; and her Fraser step children Claire, Greg (Mo Ying Chan), Eric (Sandra McGoldrick), and Ellen (Paul Loiselle).

Shirley was trained as a nurse and spent her entire life both during her career and after retirement caring for others. She endured many tragedies but always found a way to go forward in life. She and Girvan spent many winters in Florida and enjoyed travelling together. She has been an inspiration to all of us and will be greatly missed.

At Shirley’s request there will be no funeral service or visitation. Burial will be held in Nova Scotia at a later date.
