Condolences to all Norman's loved ones. I have many good memories of him as a childhood neighbour, classmate, and fellow Army Cadet. Among the more poignant are Saturdays tramping the woods around Irish Mountain and McLellan's Mountain with our .22's hunting for rabbits (we never got any) ; and running into each other at Union Station in Toronto when Norman was making his way back from Guyana and I was returning from Cadet Camp in Banff. On that occasion he pulled a jar from his pack in which he'd preserved a spider roughly the size of an orange. I never asked him how he had got it through customs. He did everything with enthusiasm.

Our hearts and love are with you, Lynda and your family with Norman's passing. A beautifully written obituary, so nice to read and appreciate of what all he did and loved to do, (of course, we Cunningham's especially love that he got to Guyana). Norman's skills of beautiful photography are a legacy as his books are in many of our homes.

Lots of great memories and family dinners I was lucky enough to get an invite too. One of the best and most recent was Christmas time last year. Gathered around the piano for a sing-a-long/jam at Eli’s birthday party, Norm kept the Beatles requests coming. We sang a lot of songs that night and I remember how pumped he was about the music. He will be sorely missed by everyone.
