Jacqueline & families:
We are so sorry and saddened to
hear of Raymond’s passing. He was
always so polite and helping in every way. I remember the many times he and Lennie would be over across the street at our house (& visa versa) playing cards with my mom & dad.
Our Thoughts & Prayers are with you all at this most difficult time.
Condolences to all.

Ray was such a kind and lovely soul who was always ready to share a good story and his warm, beautiful smile. He touched many lives and I know he will be missed terribly by all those lucky enough to have known him. May your memories be a blessing to you Jacqueline.

Raymond’s generous assistance years ago in providing me with after hour service is something l have never forgotten. His instant willingness to help a young panicky new entry as a commercial fisherman and to open early on a Sunday morning helped educate me in what good customer service is when l later got into the retail business . His kindness made him a special person . My condolences to the family .

I have many wonderful memories of Raymond that I will cherish forever.
Ray was a beautiful man with a heart of gold who epitomized the art of being the perfect gentlman. He was kind. generous, respectful, and friendly to all. He was always planning ways to make someone else's life a little easier.
Many shared dinners were filled with laughter and camaraderie. The first time I met Ray, I fell in love with his special unique sense of humour. He personified wit and his comebacks were classic! I always looked forward to his pleasant company.
My favorite memory of Ray is one I hold dear to my heart. Ray sailed with us to Pictou Island as part of mine and Bill's wedding celebrations. It was the best day: the sun was bright, the sky was blue and the wind was perfect. All the guests swam, picniced, rode bicycles and enjoyed great food and libations. On the sail home, my little grandaughter laid her head on Ray's leg and went to sleep. Ray did not move a muscle all the way home for fear he would wake her. His smile streteched from ear to ear. When she awoke she gave him a big smile!
We are so going to miss Ray and all our good times together, but will never forget this lovely man who brought so much joy to all who knew him.

I knew Raymond for half of his life. 45 years ago he hired me to work for him that began a long working relationship with a person who I considered to be like a big brother. He was kind, generous and benevolent to a fault. He had a wonderful sense of humour which charmed anyone who was privileged to be in his company. We remember his last trip from Florida when the covid pandemic was causing difficulty for him to get home. We told him to pack his bags, and be ready, that we were coming to get him to drive him home. It was a trip filled with humour and adventure despite the circumstances and he was so happy to be back in Canada. Christine and I have cherished his friendship and will miss him dearly.

Ray was a ray of sunshine. Always upbeat, he enjoyed life to its fullest. Thanks, Ray, for always picking us up to go to Bridge. Whether in his church, the deCoste, the eating places around Pictou county (whether church or restaurant) he was always giving back to the local establishments. We will miss your card expertise, your positive attitude, and smile. Many blessings to your family.

Please accept our sincere condolences on
Raymond’s passing. He was a true friend and gentleman! He first welcomed me to the CN office in Halifax in 1958, followed by many home visits, dinner parties and bridge games. Our friendship continued. His phone calls will be missed, and will he be missed.
Sincerely,
Horace and Ella
