Stephanie Joan Gillespie, age 52 of Lower Sackville and Chance Harbour, Pictou County passed away on Oct 15, 2024, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. She was born on January 2, 1972, and was the youngest child of J. Arthur and Audrey (Payne) Gillespie, Chance Harbour.

Stephanie grew up in Lower Sackville, graduated from New Glasgow High and attended Acadia University, Wolfville. She owned Desert Sun Tanning Salon (New Glasgow) and a Real Estate agent in Lower Sackville. Stephanie retired early due to ill health.

Stephanie was kind, loving and trustworthy. You could always count on Aunt Stephanie any time any place. She loved all animals especially her beloved cats. Stephanie also loved to travel places hot (California, Caribbean, South America and Mexico) She loved Flamingos and a sandy beach anywhere.

She is survived by her parents Arthur and Audrey Gillespie, Chance Harbour. Brothers Paul Gillespie (Margaret) New Glasgow, Ian Gillespie, Riverton. Nieces and nephews Cooper, Callie, Sarah, Bradley and Brandon. Aunts Marie (Gillespie) Langdon, BC, Hilda (Gillespie) Olesiuk, Manitoba, Joan Smith and Eileen Goodnough, Kentville. Many grand nieces and nephews.

Stephanie was predeceased by her sister-in-law Sherry (Spicer) Gillespie.

Services will be held at H.W. Angus Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday October 20, 2024, 2-4 and 7-9, Funeral service Monday October 21 at 11:00am with a reception to follow in the funeral home.
