I had the pleasure of working with Mike at the Cabaret. I'll never forget our first meeting. I was the new guy just sitting back quietly, watching everyone interact. Mike approached me with a photo of a recent fishing trip he had. He had caught a giant fish and told me the story of how he caught it.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I haven’t seen Mike for a number of years. I remember when he was in hockey. Mike had a great sense of humour. He got along well with everyone. Once we were into a heated hockey game, the coaches were walking back and forth concentrating on the team.
Mike pulls out a cigarette for fun, to get a rise out of the coach. The coach not thinking,” says put that cigarette away, don’t you know that will stump your growth.” Realizing who he was talking to, he turned to apologize. When he looked Mike was roaring laughing.
That was the Mike I knew. Loved to joke, and was loved by all.
Let’s remember that Mike. RIP
