So sorry to hear of Pat's passing. What a fabulous man. I remember him and his family well, having lived not too far from his parents in Lansdowne growing up. Condolences to his family, friends and all who loved him. He was one of the good guys.

To the Shreenan family,
Mike and I are so sorry to hear this very sad news. Pat was such a caring, kind, funny person, simply a GOOD man in every way!
Pat and I spent many hours on my front porch having tea (the odd time a rum) discussing everything going on in the world, but in the end not really solving much of anything!
I remember the day he brought Carolyn, whom he spoke of often, to the house to meet me. You can only imagine my surprise when she walked through the door and I recognized her from our junior high school years. I was very happy for them both!
To Jen and Brian, you were so fortunate to have him for a Dad, and to anyone else, you were fortunate to have had him as a friend!
So to you Pat, I will end with the line you always left our visits with, by saying; " Thanks for the tea and conversations!"

To Pats family and friends I’d like to offer my condolences. Pat was my favourite teacher in high school and I’m sure many of my classmates would say the same. Pat was a great teacher and a great man to learn from. He very much cared for his students and truly wanted us to walk away from his class feeling as if we had learned something and gained a skill to apply to our lives. I fondly remember the times we would chat about the fishing trips he planned on taking after he retired from teaching. I very much hope he had the chance to go on them. Rest easy old friend
Warm regards

Pat and I became close while he was my teacher at CPA. Having similar interests such as the fire dept, we became quite close and even after graduation.
While it has been many years since we had the opportunity to chat, he will always be one of the brightest lights in my education journey and extremely proud to call him my friend.

My brother pat was a kind soul. He helped us some many times over the years whether it was so many trips to Halifax for appointments and lodging at his house when needed to stay close to the city. He was always teaching me new things every time we were together from machinery to carpentry and anything in between. I wish miss him so much. Susie.

Carolyn, We met at the Glen Haven in May when my mother-in-law was moved into the same wing as your husband. She passed away shortly thereafter.
We spent time sharing our stories of our loved ones and your incredible love and compassion for your husband was very evident continuously. Never forget the love you gave and shared together.

Mr. Shreenan was a huge influence in my life. As the lone girl in his industrial arts class a long time ago, he went above and beyond to foster my interest in welding and carpentry. I remember him getting me to teach some of the guys in other classes how to weld, and the confidence that built in me was a huge factor in my choose to enter a long career as a heavy equipment technician. I think of him often when working with high school girls to promote the trades. I wish every young woman could have a teacher like Mr. Shreenan to believe in them like he believed in me. I’m deeply saddened to hear of his loss.

Pat was such a kind and compassionate person. He was one of those hero teachers who taught as much from his heart as he did from his mind. He loved his career and the students he taught. He always loved motor biking and his old truck.
I have many years of sweet memories with him. He was my first love and a beloved friend of our family for some time.
Sending my condolences and prayers for his wife and all his family and friends.
