Margaret Jean Porter age 74 of Alma Pictou County passed away on Thursday June 27th peacefully at her home . Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Murray and Shirley (Proudfoot) Holley. Margaret lived her early years in Eureka .She later graduated from Nursing School and practiced as a R.N. having worked at the Aberdeen Hospital. Margaret was an avid bridge player. Margaret’s greatest joy in life was her family, her children , grandchildren and husband. Margaret is survived by her husband of 54 years Robert, daughter Deborah (Michael) Lochead of Alma, a son Robbie (Nicole) Porter of West River Rd. ,Antigonish. Her grandchildren Abby, Lane, Fergus and Nora. There will be no visitation or service by request.
