Obituary of Gary Smith

Lewis “Gary” Smith age 71 of Hopewell passed away at the Aberdeen Hospital on May 23,2024 with his forever friend by his side. Born in New Glasgow he was the son of the late Lewis and Greta Joyce (Davidson) Smith. Gary grew up in Trenton but his second home was the cottage in Lochaber. He had wonderful memories of gatherings with family and friends, to play guitar, throw darts and take the boat out to catch the big one. To all his friends at Glen Brae , thank you for taking care of him. Gary is survived by a son Derek Wayne Smith of Stellarton as well as a special grandson Jeff of Thorburn. Gary was predeceased by his parents and a beloved sister Deborah (Smith) Chaisson. There will be no visitation or service by request.
