I grew up in Port Hawkesbury and have many good memories of Woody and his many business ventures. Woody was a fixture around town and he was always kind to me. It could not have been easy for Woody and his family to be immigrants in a predominantly white and oftentimes racist ( passively or other) area but Woody always had a smile and carried on. The sign of strong character. The Strait area is a better place because of the contributions of Woody Chediac over the years. Rest in peace Woody.

To the family of Woody Chediac Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family of Woody Chediac. I have know Woody for many years. I first met him when I applied for a job at his Video Sore in Porthawesbury where he hired me and I worked for him for a number of years. He was the greatest Boss, friend and person I have ever met. Woody would often bring me a taste of whatever Lebanese dish he would be making for supper that day. Woody love to cook and share what ever he was cooking. He always had a smile on his face. I haven’t seen woody in years but he has always stayed in touch with me through phone. He was a true gem and a great friend who will be missed and remembered dearly. Rest in peace my good friend. So sorry to hear of Woodys passing.We met him and Yvonne back in 1977 when I came to work at the heavy water plant. Great couple and Woody stayed in touch until about a year or so ago.
