Steve's shared love for nature and gardening with my family enriched our community on Frasers Mountain, we were truly lucky to have such a wonderful neighbour and friend. Our conversations by the garden about hunting and fishing as well as his always friendly presence will be deeply missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to Joan and their family during this difficult time.

A great neighbor. He always admired my large manure pile for the garden. The neighborhood will not be the same without him. He was competitive with his garden in a friendly way and always eager to share new plants, ideas and produce. If Steve was putting his garden in, you knew it was time to plant. His garden was the one you wanted yours to look like.

My very first friend. Steve was the best neighbor a kid could have asked for. Some of my first memories as a child are going up and helping Steve with his garden although I’m not sure how much help I was when I was 4. My family and my self will all miss Steve very much. Our condolences to Joan and the rest of the Lamey family. Thank you for everything over the years Steve.
