Evelyn was a dear friend to my parents in Millertown!
I live in Ontario and when I came to visit my parents, I would always see Evelyn. Sometimes we would go for a walk around town together. My parents always spoke of her very fondly.

I am so sorry to hear of Evelyn’s passing. I live in Millertown, Nl and Evelyn was a neighbour of my Mom and Dad and lived very close to us. She was a good friend of ours. Evelyn was so kind and friendly. We had a cat named Tommy who would frequent Evelyn’s and she would feed him tuna and a dish of milk and then he would make his way up to her bed for a nap. She loved it.

My sisters and I (Edna, Wendy) and our brother Wade are sending love, prayers and our heart's remembrances ...
We each loved and cherished our special times with Evelyn over the span of many years.
We will indeed miss her until we see her again with our Precious Lord Jesus ...as she is resting in His everlasting arms of love.
A precious memory I have carried in my heart since our childhood are the many walks to Bible school each summer (from Nana's house in East River to church) with Uncle Bobby watching out for us. We would be delighted with our eagerness to be there! Many blessings came with attending Bible school with Mrs. Cunningham whom we all loved. Another memory is the picking of blueberries for Nana (many times) ( we would attempt not consume too many as Nana needed for baking) : )❤️
My precious sisters, Edna and Wendy and brother Wade have times they hold close to their hearts as well...Edna states a special time when Shelley convinced aunt Evelyn to go out for fish and chips and they all had such a special family time together!
Wendy recalls a time when she spent two nights with aunt Evelyn while being home to Nova Scotia and they both were so very blessed with their time together! My brother Wade says he just loved her!
Evelyn will always be a part of us...a cherished and treasured part of our hearts

Our hearts are with Evelyn’s family. Evelyn was beautiful inside and out. I loved our phone chats; I can hear her saying my name, in that most beautiful, gentle soft voice. She told me that she babysat me; and of course, I was thrilled to hear that. As a young woman, Evelyn was our celebrity; and that she will always forever be. Love you Evelyn.

Evelyn was a dear neighbour and friend when I was growing up. Evelyn and her sister, Vivien, used to come to visit us we lived across the river from each other. I always thought Evelyn was a movie star, so beautiful sweet. The last time I saw her was at a Bluegrass Awards Show in Truro a few years ago. We chatted briefly. She was always a true lady and always beautiful inside and out.
