I am so deeply saddened by the passing of my friend, Mike. We were kindred spirts for sure, always trading quips and joking with one another. We always enjoyed having a glass of wine or two or... Anytime we were together there was always laughter. Once Usha and Mike sat behind me at a funeral. Before the service began were chatting and giggling like little school boys, when Usha admonished us jokingly saying, "You have to say one "Our Father" and three "Hail Marys". In closing, I would like to pass along, from myself, Marge, Adele and Meagan, our sincerest sympathies to Usha, Vivek, Deepa and the extended family. I recall coming to your apartment when you first moved to New Glasgow and babysitting Deepa and Vivek when you would go out. I always enjoyed hearing about your life and was honoured to be part of your life for a few years before I lived away to university. Uncle was simply on a different level. He was an Uncle that always took time to chat with me when I was younger or older. He was a role model as to how to live life to the fullest, and love your family and friends. He was a person that one always wanted to gravitate to due to his outlook on life and always wanting to enjoy a good story or laugh. Simply, he made life better. He was the best. Dear Usha and Family,
I remember your early days when you moved to Pictou County ; I was a young hairdresser and working in Stellerton at Alpha.
You were a young mother and working at the Bank of Nova Scotia
The years have passed and it is always lovely to run into somewhere in town.
I met Mike a few times in those earlier years. I am so sorry that you and your family have to say goodbye to your Mike.
