Dear Chris and family,
I was deeply saddened to hear about Laurie.
It was such a privilege having Laurie as a piano teacher. She was one of those rare teachers who treated me like an equal, even as a young child stumbling through my scales. I loved her sense of humour and how she challenged me. I was grateful for the sense of calm she exuded when I would find her face in the crowd at piano festivals, counting me down. Laurie was an integral part of my childhood and helped shape who am I today.

I am so sorry for you loss Chris, Raegen and Devin. Laurie was a gentle soul and she was noted for her love of music. Tracy took lessons for years and I always had a chat with Laurie on those days. She was in our craft group for years and we enjoyed her humor.

We were away a few days and didn’t know about Laurie until we got back.
My heart aches for you and your children, grandchildren. I know how hard her illness was for all of you.
I will always remember Laurie during our greenhouse seasons…she would stroll around enjoying all the colors and decisions as to what she would buy.
