My sincere condolences to Jim and family. Anyone who shared time with Miriam was blessed, she was a kind and loving soul who always had time to chat. I met Miriam through the Cursillo movement and remained friends after, we shared stories, laughter and most importantly a love of our faith. As we wave “see you later” from this side I can only imagine the excitement of her coming home greetings on the other side.

I spent many years working with her on Forbes Street and she was always a special lady to me, always a smile and a twinkle in her eye, i can honestly say I never heard her say a bad word about anyone and some of the customers she handled well I'm sure she thought some things to say but never passed her tongue. Miriam's eyes sparkled every time we met. It didn't matter if we bumped into each other in a store, or if we were at a family sing song. She always looked into my eyes, hold out both her hands to greet me, and she'd say "Susan dear, how are you doing today?" Miriam set an example of what it means to be totally present to the person one is speaking with. Before leaving a family gathering she often said, "we have time for one or two more songs."
