I still cannot believe Angela is gone. Even though we hadn’t seen each other in so many years, our physical distance never diminished the love and adoration we held for each other. She simply was one of my favorite people on this earth. We met at Kert Advertising in Toronto, the day I returned from my honeymoon. Early September 1987. We became co-workers and.close friends. We connected over our crazy “diet” brains. Always struggling with every diet that came our way. She was relatable, non-judgmental, hilarious, curious, FUN and vulnerable. We connected and laughed and told our secrets to each other. Our friendship was rare, for me, at least. She was everything I loved in a friend. And everything I will miss. We used to reminisce about our Toronto days…..two small town girls who loved make-up and big hair and the big city! I could go on but what I really want to say is there will never be another friend like Angela for me. I will think of her with love and laughter for the rest of my life. This I know for sure. To Amelia, I cannot begin to tell you how deeply sorry I am for you, you darling, young woman just getting started in your life. Your time with your mom was decades too short. But oh how lucky you were to have Angela for your mother. She will be deeply missed. And I will always think of you too Amelia and wonder how you are. With enduring love for “Ang”, Heather Leavitt

Amelia so sorry to hear about your mothers passing. She was so young. I have known your mother for many years, we first met playing Mahjong when you lived in Bible Hill and she use to come to Truro to play until Covid closed most activities down.
May she Rest In Peace

My Friendship with Ang began at Convergys....Ang was one of those people that EVERYONE knew...she was Funny and very Intelligent and she could be very Caring...and because of this EVERYONE is having a difficult time processing the fact that she is no longer with us...She made us lose track of time Entertaining us...She will be Forever Missed , On Facebook she wrote along with a picture taken after a meal together with our Friend Kathy Mattatall "Sometimes last minute plans are the most fun!" (She was FUN!) I believe 2010 we'd begun our Friendship...She'd lost her Beautiful Sparkly Broach and in its place I Gifted her one of my Grandmother's Vintage Sparkly Broaches to soothe her...because she was so....upset!!!(When we were out to dinner in Pictou one time... the lady serving the food asked if we were sisters...?! We liked that!!!)I really enjoyed making her laugh...we shared the same humour...When I posted a cartoon of me shoveling (She commented and told me to be careful shoveling when I posted about it one time...stated it was hard on the heart...)Whenever I posted about my Peonies we always spoke of the memory of her Father flicking the ants off of them... she explained to him at the time... they were helping the flowers... She never forgot my Birthday...always had well wishes for me...We shared the same childhood memories...Disney, Romper Room, Looney Tunes, Wild Kingdom and of course TANG...Oh we will sure miss all of your stories...Her Ameliaisms on FB... RIP Angela Luddington... Until we meet again.. My Friend we all miss you... ❤ Hugs & Prayers ❤ To All who Love and Miss her...Especially her Family and her Dear Daughter Amelia (Her Mini Me)

Oh Val, I feel the same way. Ang was the funniest woman to know and love. I adored her. She never forgot my Birthday either. In fact, I checked my FB messages after I learned she had died, and there, right in cue was her birthday message to me on June 3. And I never saw it. I had been in Toronto that day and just never saw that message from her. I just loved her and am so sad she is gone. She would know I would be sad. She was so special to me too.

Dear Amelia and family,
My sincere condolences to you and your family. Your Mom and I only met in person a few times, but we kept in touch over the years through email and facebook messenger. Our common bond was New Harbour and our ancestors who lived there.
Amelia your Mom was so proud of you and your accomplishments and I am sure her spirit with continue to surround you with her love for you.
“ Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.” Words will never be enough to express the sorrow I feel for your loss. But I hope you can take some comfort from knowing I am thinking of you. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4) Draw on your beautiful memories in the coming weeks and months to give you comfort.
Much love,
Karen Luddington

Amelia, I'm so very sorry on the loss of your mom. You were the center of her world and she loved you with a fierceness that was next to none. She was always extremely proud of you, Amelia, and always had something to brag about, whether it was all the wonderful and thoughtful things you'd do for her, all your accomplishments, your high school graduation and getting scholarships to university. Just you being you. Angela was one of my very best friends, such a warm and caring person, determined, smart, had an unbelievable memory, and was oh so funny! I met her at Convergys and over the years we've been meeting up once a month, usually at the DQ or Subway, and she'd always entertain me with stories and antidotes from her life, past and present. And then there was all the laughter. When I think of Angela, I think of laughter as being the mainstay. When we worked together, she'd be out in the breakroom and talking about the calls she got, word for word, complete with accents, and we all would be almost pissing ourselves laughing. I knew I was in for a great time when Angela was around. Angela was bigger than life and her commanding presence filled the room with energy. I am going to miss her tremendously and I am still in shock how such a vibrant and loving life-force can die. It's just so surreal. Angela meant so much to so many, and I'm just one of the hundreds of friends she made an impact on. Thinking of you and your aunts with a broken heart but with much love, compassion and empathy. May all your memories comfort you as you go forward with your life. She'd want you to live it well.
Kathy Mattatall

My sympathy to all who loved Angela.
Anyone that knew her had the joy of her conversation, connections and her genuine interest in you and your stories.
I always looked forward to Kings Head Christmas Dinners with Angela and our combined families. She always noticed the care that Brad and Brenda took in making a beautiful celebration, and made everyone feel welcome and appreciated.
My heart goes out to all of you as you process this tremendous loss. May memories bring you comfort.

I was flabbergasted when I saw the post on your mom’s Facebook page.. I commented on her posts quite often. We had a private joke we shared in messenger. I wished I had got together with her in person. The thing I share with her is that I am also a proud Stellarton girl. The thing that stood out the most was her love for you Amelia and how very proud she was of you. Also her love for all her family and her beloved dogs. The hardest part of this is not being prepared. Amelia knowing the strong woman your mom was she would want you to carry on. Sending all of Angela’s family love and hugs.

Angela and I first met over ten years ago at Convergys. She was the first face you saw every morning heading in the door. Her smile was a good way to start the day.
We reconnect a few years ago at Web. It was not for us but that did not stop a wonderful friendship. She knew how to make you feel important. Always up for a good chat and share stories of her past.
We bonded as single moms. I will miss our lunch dates to catch up and words of encouragement. She was a strong lady behind that amazing smile. She will be greatly missed.
