Lonny and family,
So sorry to hear of Evelyn’s passing. I enjoyed her coming into the salon every week for her set. Through snow storms, rain storms or wind storms I always new Evelyn would make it in. She often chatted about her family and how lucky she was that she had Lonny to help her and was always excited to go to Karen’s cottage. May you RIP Evelyn , you will fondly be remembered.

Lonny and family, so sorry to hear of Evelyns passing. I so enjoyed her coming into the salon every week. She loved getting her hair done, weather it was raining, snowing, or high winds she made sure to get to the salon . She was very blessed to have such a patient son like you Lonny and she often mentioned how lucky she was. May you rest in Peace Evelyn.

What a wonderful lady. So many memories of Evelyn whether acting as Jeopardy host, teaching us three person card games or bakiing chocolate cookies when we least expected, she was always a great sport. While we made a mess in her kitchen during Saturday evening pizza prep, she never complained. I think she was glad we were there and not somewhere else causing problems. Whenever called upon, Evelyn was a willing and capable volunteer and had that special gift of never talking down to children but making them feel appreciated and valued.
I recall watching her complete a crossword puzzle in record time and give us a thrashing in Scrabble...my 3 letter words were no match for her word command. Now that I look back, I realize her intelligence and in another time I'm sure Evelyn could have been a university graduate leading to a career caring for others. However we all enjoyed her success at home, always having time for everyone and it seemed, enjoying every minute of it.

We first met Evelyn when she babysat the MacKay children and our children went to play with them. What a lovely lady. She also attended First Church where we went. Again many interactions with her. She will be missed by your family and certainly within the community.
