Obituary of Jimmie Munroe

Munroe, James Edwin “Jimmie” age 99 passed away May 15, 2023 at the Valley View Villa, Riverton, Nova Scotia.
He was born in Rossfield, NS to the late Daniel and Margaret (Cameron) Munroe.
He retired in 1988 as a school bus driver for East Pictou Rural High after many years of service.
Jim enjoyed bowling, fishing, horses and playing cards at Valley View. He liked baseball and enjoyed watching his Blue Jays on TV.
Jim is survived by brothers Everett, Lawrence (Shirley), Rennie (Diane) and sister Emma, and many nieces and nephews.
As well as his parents he was predeceased by sisters Lena and Isabelle, brothers Alvin, John, Ernest and Harold.
Visitation will be held from 1-3pm Friday May 26, 2023 at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
Burial will take place in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens immediately following for family only.
The family wishes to thank the staff of 2nd floor at Valley View Villa for their care and kindness looking after Jimmie for the last several years.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any local food bank.
