Barb, Mark, Erin , Buzz and all of Ed’s family. Sincere condolences on Ed’s passing. Have missed him the past few years at the Crusher’s games, In past Mark, Ed and Buzz would sit together in my section and torment the visiting teams and referees. I knew that they enjoyed that time together.
So sorry for your loss, RIP Ed.

Our sincere condolences to Barb, Erin, Mark, and Buzzy. Many fond memories of working with Eddie for over 30 years at the News. Also remember the memorable office parties, barbecues and lunch room laughs. More recently the twice weekly coffee gatherings and Friday breakfast at the East Side where we had a chance to reminisce and talk sports. My sincere condolences to Barb, Mark, Erin and all of Ed’s family. I’ve known Ed for 53 years, he was smart, kind, funny and a good friend. Many great memories of our working days at The Evening News including Christmas parties, lobster and steak dinners, where Ed was always the chef. Ed loved his curling and with a twinkle in his eyes always teased me about the Brier, telling me the real curling is on now! Ed was one of the best and I will miss him. Love and hugs to all.

Ed you were a great friend , teammate and person and i will miss you dearly . We had so many good times together at parties at the Buell's house and at our houses . We all loved the dances at the Stellarton Fire Hall and our trips to Prince Edward Island playing ball . I remember when we were warming up before our fastball game , you the catcher and me the pitcher . I asked you for the signs and you said fast , really fast and crazy fast , i'll never forget that haha . Remember our corn hunts and you and Buellie trying to start a fire in the fireplace at my place . We have so many memories of all of us together and they will live on forever , my heart is broken but i know your pain is gone . I will miss you till the day we meet up again BF , love Steve and Debby Lawrence xoxoxoxo .

Barbara, Mike, Erin and families: may I pass on our most heartfelt and sincere condolences at this difficult time. I first met Ed back in the late 60’s when we both started work at The Evening News. Ed was a city slicker from Stellarton, I was a country boy from Thorburn. He was the crossword champ at that time and no doubt continued throughout his life. We would bump into each other at Abercrombie now and again. He was quick to smile and always mentioned the old days. He will be missed, but will live on through your fondest memories. RIP my friend, your rest is well deserved.
