I met my dear friend Lorraine when I joined a bowling league. She was always sweet, kind, caring, and a true friend. I was saddened by the news of her passing. She was honored at our bowling tournament this weekend . I had the great honor to throw the first ball in her memory. She will be greatly missed by all of us.

9 years ago, when I was thinking about joining the Ukulele Group, I approached Lorraine. I knew her from First Church. She was so kind to me, even lending me a ukulele so I could see if I could learn to play it. She was very encouraging even when I wasn't very good. I called her around the first of December to see if I could borrow the nice set of bells she used to use when we sang Jingle Bells. She said she would get back to me - little did I know, she was probably sick then. I will be forever grateful for her kindness and encouragement and Yes, I still play with the group and think of her often. Sheila Dempster

Family Members, My sincere condolences in the passing of Lorraine. I have fond memories of Lorraine and also Oran from the Legion, whether it be playing darts or at a dance. My they were absolutely beautiful dancers and you could tell they enjoyed it. Lorraine was a very nice person, kind and was always up for a chat. She will be missed.

So sorry to read of Lorraine's passing, I worked with her for many years , always respected her as a supervisor, friend to accompany me to many many dances in Pictou County, Boston travels . Always enjoyed her company and caring personality. RIP Lorraine, I am sure you got your wings and will dance with the angel's .
