I met Brian for the first time in the summer of 2020. From there it seemed I knew him for years. My experience knowing Brian was super inspiring. A real person. No pretence. Genuinely interested in people and super passionate for his community. From what I could tell, he never stopped — resting a few hours then out of the gate at the crack of dawn each day. I quickly got the sense that once a friend, Brian would have your back. We last chatted briefly in July where we signed off with a plan to follow up soon thereafter with a phone call to catch up. I’m deeply saddened by Brian’s passing and send my sincerest condolences to Brian’s family and friends.
