To all the MacLean Family:Pictou County has lost one of its finest citizens, but he leaves behind a legacy unequalled to be cherished and remembered. He was a ‘one of a kind’!who left his mark! He had a great sense of humor and wit which was always ‘in play’ in the Barbershop!Surround by all the Red Wing memorabilia setting the tone for the Old time old fashioned barber shop it was..it just wasn’t his scissors that were ‘sharp’ as he proved many times over that his wit was even sharper! The Roast at the Stellarton Legion proved that ‘in spades’ when he was roasted by some pretty able roasters or so they thought.. but were found not to be Ducky’s equal by a country mile..where he rose to the occasion and ‘clipped’ them in his quietinimitable way to the delight of the large audience..’scoring’ points on them in the way he did throughout his classy hockey career.Doubtful we will see
His likes again, but was an honor to have been a friend over the years and enjoyed being ‘clipped by him’!!the many stories Will live
On for a long time! Our Sympathy and condolences goes out to all his family and many friends…the measure of the man surely was that through the years you never heard an Ill word uttered about ‘DUCKY’!
Sincerely,
Jack and Evelyn MacIsaac

Please accept our sincerest condolences. Ducky will be remembered as the barber who was always up for a talk.
He came to the hospital to give my late husband a haircut when my husband was very ill .Ducky told me to leave them, because they were going to just talk while he cut hair….kind man, who everyone I am sure has a good story. Rest In Peace Ducky.

Rebecca Fraser, East River St. Mary’s posted a condolence
Saturday, July 16, 2022
My dad, Bobby Fraser, was a faithful customer of Ducky’s for many years. Born a month apart, they shared a love of family and hockey. A friendly rivalry over the Leafs and the Wings (at least Ducky didn’t love the Habs) was maintained. Dad, his sons, a grandson and even great-grandsons had their hair cut by Ducky. To my chagrin, Dad even convinced Ducky to trim my hair on one occasion. He was so nice to me and I never forgot it. Ducky was a friend to many and will be missed by all. My thoughts are with the family. Rebecca Fraser.
