My deepest condolences on your Loss Nina, Vanessa, Olivia, Alicia . You all were the most wonderful neighbors we ever could have met. God granted us this security and peace of such safe haven as my girls grew to call your home and each of you. Nina you and Bill were role models for my girls as they grew and even though we moved away after 10 years as your neighbors on Jubillee Avenue they never ever forgot moments spent with your family. They always remembered Bills smile and kindness as you played your piano,sang with the girls or played games. So many loving and cherished forever memories you each gave them such great family examples to learn from. Thank you to all of you for being such amazing neighbors. for your babysitting,support and genuine caring My girls Angela & Monica Court and I will be forever grateful . We will always hold close many memories of Bill and prayers for you Nina, and Girls for peace and knowing he is now in Heaven with God and wants for peace and happiness for you and all on Earth. I knew him as Billy when we worked together at the IGA in New Glasgow. He was a good friend and would often lend me his Honda 50cc to drive home for lunch. I will always remember showing him my new set of boxing gloves and invited him to go a round. He was able to get through my defense and with one punch I landed on the ground. Bill paid respects to my family when my mom passed away in 2002. I would loved to have seen him again. We will see you in heaven Bill. Blessings to your family.

I have so many happy memories of Bill and Nina’s hospitality, staying the weekend many times. They made me feel welcome and at-home; something I took largely for granted as a teenager. Also, Bill’s questions and comments in meetings were a spiritual encouragement. Dear Nina, Vanessa, Olivia and Alicia, I’m praying that the God of all comfort will comfort you (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) in the days ahead. Til we meet again!

Dear Nina and family, I was so sorry to hear of Billy’s passing. Know that he pain free and at rest now. I have such cherished memories of spending so much time at the house with Heather and those crazy brothers. Those boys were all so handsome and so much fun, I can see grandfather Herman sitting in his chair laughing. Still remember watching Billy teaching himself to drive a motorcycle and when he first started dating you. How the time has flown by, know that your memories will help you heal from your loss. I knew Bill in our teenage years. I met him through my sister, Lorraine, at our house on Acadia Street. Later, I discovered that Bill was also a friend of my then boyfriend later husband, Collie Cameron, now deceased, Bill and Collie rode around together on their motorcycles, smoking cigarettes and looking cool.
I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. My sincere condolences to his wife, family & friends.

I worked with Billy years ago at the Museum of Industry, I was in a trench half full of water using a pick and shovel ...Then I heard this voice saying to me ,,, Did you know that Jesus loves you ?? I said Are you serious? I thought he lost his mind .Lol , he would come to work everyday with a big smile and a tract to give me ..For weeks I thought this character lost his mind until there was a crossroad in my life and I finally submitted to our Lord and Savior...We spent many hours at my carwash talking and reminiscing..I last seen Billy at the X-ray at the Aberdeen Hospital and was able to talk to him briefly..
You lived a great life Billy now in a place where there's no suffering or pain ....

I knew Billy when we were teenagers and met him at the Nicholson’s home when they were neighbours on East River Road. One memory is going up Acadia Street, New Glasgow where I lived in the very early morning playing his bugle to greet the day. Those were innocent times. While Billy played his instrument Marie, Carol and I sang the old Kellogg’s cereal jingle. “Good morning, good morning, the best to you each morning”. Just silly teens having fun.

The first and only time that we met Bill, was when he and Nina opened their home to let Rob and I stay overnight. Minutes after meeting them we settled in for a chat that didn't end until at least 2 in the morning, The laughter and hospitality found in their home is a cherished memory.
