Dear Leah, Candice and families I just learned of your Dad’s passing and I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy. I met your Dad the same evening I met Bob and we became good friends. I will always remember his positive attitude and happy disposition. The last time I saw him was at Bob’s Service and we had a hug and a few words. He was a great guy. Carol Day

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Ian for many years at C21 and I can say he was a great guy to work with. I will miss our chats that we would have, especially about motorbiking, being a fellow rider myself, Ian gave me lots of suggestions for bikes and locations for trips. One of the last conversations I had with Ian was how he recommended to me to take a trip to the Maritime provinces on my bike. I do hope to make that trip in the coming years. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
Mark Cullen.

Leah, Candice and Family, Christine, Scott, Grant and Family;
Laura and I are deeply saddened to hear of Ian's passing. It was great having a Nova Scotian cousin living two hours south of Saskatoon. We fondly remember the times we would get together with Ian whenever we were in Regina. When our son Scott was playing AAA Midget and University hockey Ian would come to the Regina games and we always had a nice visit. Then there was the time we got together for a nice dinner and drinks prior to the Paul McCartney concert. Ian was always good to keep in touch and update us on NS happenings. Sending our sincere condolences to the family at this difficult time. Ian will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

I met Ian through my teaching days in Briercrest. What a wonderful man. As so many have said, his humour, his smile and his positive nature just made him one of the most pleasant people to encounter. Our deepest condolences. May your wonderful memories of dad help you through these days, Leah and Candace. Jerry and Patti Rodger

Leah, Candice and the entire Johnston family and relatives. So sorry to learn of Ian’s death. Ian was a super person, friend of all and while a student at the former EPRH, a great student leader. As a former student of mine, Ian was passionate in kindness to all his classmates and was always willing to give a helping hand to an endeavour asked of him. He was a true gentleman and giver of himself to make life enjoyable for all. It is my hope that remembrances of Ian by all his friends and colleagues will help you all in the days and months ahead. Ian is now at peace with acknowledgement of a wonderful life lived.
