To all of Uncle Ross's children and extended family,
From our family in BC, extending on our deepest condolences on the passing of your Dad. It was always such a treat to see him on our visits back home and admired his constant pleasant outlook and laughter. On my last visit home, it was special to have my son Cameron get to meet his Great-Uncle Ross, and it left him with a very fond memory.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Ross. We always enjoyed seeing him at the Mackay/ Lewellyn gatherings and listening to him as he played the piano. It is so hard to lose someone at Christmas time ; my father died suddenly at Christmas, so I know challenges it brings. We are all trying to do our best in these Covid times which limit our contacts and prevent others close to you from being by your side. Charles and I want you all to know we share in your loss and pain during the difficult days ahead.

Many years ago I had gone to the home of Mr. Kellock as I admired his Poppy flowers over the years. We had amazing conversation about the coal mines and Michelin due to my father working there and he was Familiar with him.
He talked about his garden and flowers as well as his family , a short visit turned into well over an hour. He recommended that I keep an eye on the Poppies because they will be going to seed, and then come back.
I went back and we gathered seeds for me to plant at my home. I planted the seeds in all of my flower gardens and only a few took hold. They were so small compared to his wonderful garden, just showing he had the magic touch not me.

Ross Kellock was one of the finest men I have ever had the privilege of getting to know. An extraordinary man who lived an ordinary life.
