My memories of "Gertie" go back to my childhood. Gertie's parents were friends of my parents and I well remember the Mac Donald children-they all seemed so grown up to me. Over the years I have come across Gertie's and Helen's names and caught up to their comings and goings.. Such long lives they have lived and shared. ! My sympathy is with you- her loved ones.
