I was saddened to see the passing of Owen who I worked with at the Department of Finance from 1973 to 1980 in Trust and Debt Management. Owen made the workplace so much fun with his wonderful sense of humour and endless energy. Since I am 70, I think 78 is still too young to pass away and when thinking back all those years ago I know Owen stood out as truly memorable and I can't ever remember an unkind word from him. He kept the atmosphere light and breezy. When McDonald's first opened on Kempt Road, a bunch of us piled in his car and we went there where I first experienced a Big Mac combo. I was hooked and remember it was Owen who rallied us all together to check out this new eatery. By reading his obituary, I see he had a full life which I am sure he enjoyed as much as others enjoyed him. My sincere condolences to his family and close friends. Sincerely Wanda MacInnes

Alan and I were saddened to hear of Owen's passing. We remember the great times we had at the parties and the Legion, Owen was always ready with a song and now he is joining the rest of the Clarke family in Heaven's choir. I can remember when he found out that I worked (MT&T) with most of the Clarkes and from then on we had lots of talks about them and how they were all doing. We have you in our thoughts and prayers.
