My sincere sympathy to Jimmy's nephews and his niece. His obituary described him to a "T". I have many fond memories of him as I was growing up during visits with my parents to his family home in Broadway. His annual corn boils were a special event to the neighbours and his many friends in the surrounding areas. When my husband Allan and I were married 54 years ago, I remember he was one of the first, and only person I can remember clearly at our serenade (an old country tradition). Jimmy and my father Fred were great friends and after my father gave up his driving license, Jimmy would take him driving and they had many good times talking about "the good old days". He was a memorable gentleman--may he rest in peace.

I was saddened to hear of Jimmy’s death. I have many fond memories of his generosity and his many visits to the “Balfour” farm. I was also a member of the Westville (Dunvegan) Pipe Band and enjoyed the many wonderful corn boils in Broadway. Jimmy was a great guy who was a loyal family friend. He brought many smiles to our faces. My sincere sympathy to the family.

I was sorry to hear about Jimmy’s passing. He was quite a guy. I was one of the members of the Westville girls’ pipe band who enjoyed his generosity at the Broadway corn boils and lobster feasts, not to mention his wonderful sense of humour. He was also a welcome visitor at the Balfour farm many times. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Sincerely, Nelda (Balfour) Humphreys

Our sincere sympathy to the family of Jimmy Fraser. I remember Jimmy when I worked for Acadian Lines and later when I led services of worship at High Crest. Jimmy was always a good friend with all my family who had worked in the treminal over the years. His smile and chuckle were contagious.
