We were saddened to learn of Bud's recent passing and send along our heartfelt sympathy to you and all the family.
When we lived on Almont ave. we had many a sidewalk chat on his walks to the old homestead and sharing views on many topics of the day.Bud being a great conversationalist he was always well informed on current events and enjoyed those sessions.
Our thoughts are with you.
Sincerely,

My heart is heavy as I write this special tribute to my older brother Buddy on this Christmas day. I live away so one of my first phone calls would have been to Buddy. He would be having dinner at our brother Joey's.
Being the youngest sister Buddy was like my third parent in many ways.
Buddy lived his life, Family first, Job second and then himself. He took his responsibilities above and beyond for his family.
He was the Best son my Mother could ask for. They had many travels together. Always Mom first!
He was kind, compassionate ,caring and supportive brother. Always there with words of encouragement and a open heart to give assistance.
The world will truly never be the same without Buddy.
I will hold the memories of him close to my heart.

On his travels about town Uncle Buddy was always positive and upbeat, he talked to people of all walks of life treating them with equal concern and respect. He helped me in all kinds of ways since I was a little kid. He never spoke an unkind word to me. He had a great sense of humor and was full of playful energy. I saw him walk by two weeks ago and felt too busy to stop and talk. My loss and a lesson learned. I will miss Buddy. Thank you Buddy I hope you are free and happy and that we will all see you again. "Buddy was an inspiration and was a great motivator throughout my life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and loved to have a good laugh. Some of my fondest memories with Buddy were Holidiiday dinners. Trips to his favorite city of boston. RIP Uncle Buddy. I have fond memories of my Uncle. The drive up to Boston with Uncle Buddy to visit Aunt Marie as a child is a particularly pleasant memory, we all had a lot of fun and it was a big adventure for a child. Also his many visits to our house to chat with Mom and us kids over the years. Go with God.
Your Neice, Darlene Van Larkin, Oro Valley, Arizona

Dick and I grew up in the North end of New Glasgow and knew the MacGillivray family especially the older family members. His mother never missed an auction sale that Dick was doing and thoroughly enjoyed herself at them. Last talked to Buddy about a little over a month ago in front of CIBC and we had a great chat at that time. He and I always had a great talk about the past here in New Glasgow. Sincere sympathy to all his family. Dick and Sheila Chisholm.
