Dear Bryan, Beverley and family; we're very sorry to hear of cousin Gerald's passing. While we rarely get back to Nova Scotia, he was very kind to have us in his home a few years ago and the lumber mill is a very important part of our family history that we all cherish. We're very sorry that another torch has been extinguished but you're all in our thoughts.
With love, Bea and Bruce Williams, Toronto.

I had the pleasure of knowing Gerald through work, at my father's GM dealership.
I remember selling Gerald the first new-style 2014 GMC Sierra in our part of the province.
I knew that he didn't want to wait because he had ordered one truck with me but ended up buying the first one that hit the lot.
Gerald was a larger than life figure who was a gentlemen, taking the time to know and deal with myself, many years his junior.
I wish Bryan, Beverly and the entire Williams family the very best and will always remember Gerald.

Ronnie, Bryan, Greg and families our sincerest sympathy. Uncle Gerald was a true character. Always a twinkle in his eye and a story to tell. When I was little he used to like to drop in the house in July to see if mom had a cherry pie made.

8 years ago my son and I accompanied Gerald to a veteran's sing-song when his date had something come up and couldn't attend at the last minute. Gerald's smile reached from one side of his face to the other and boy, did he sing! He told me he hadn't heard some of those songs since he was in Italy... Here's to you, Gerald... pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and smile, smile, smile.
Thinking of you Bryan, Beverly and the rest of the family.

A sad week for the community of Barneys River as well as Great Uncle Gerald's extended Family on Vancouver Island. A charismatic and gentle soul that lit up a room like so few men can. I was fortunate enough to witness on many occasions how he was able to brighten his older Sisters (and nephew Bill's) face every time he entered their kitchen for a random visit and game of cards. We all feel blessed to call Gerald, Myrtle and their Sons....Family (we almost had one relocate to the Island)...as well as their Spouses, Grandchildren and Gerald's loving extended Family. Great Uncle Gerald was a dearly loved member of a very special group of Brothers and Sisters.
On behalf of my Sisters, our Spouses and Children..and myself, our sincerest condolences to the entire community of Barneys River.
