To the Family and Friends of Bob: I was sorry to learn of Bob's recent passing and send my sympathy and condolences to all.I know from first hand experience Of Bob's commitment and loyalty to his community and the issues that affected them.He was no armchair critic-he was a knowledgeable and experience voice that was heard and listened to across the community.He will be long remembered and appreciated for his efforts to make life better for all. I was very saddened to learn about the passing of my friend and former Co worker Bob Christie. We worker ed together at Canso Chemicals for several years. It was obvious that Bob's passion was his interest in improving and protecting the enviornment and he spent the rest of his life after he left Canso perusing solutions and improvements to water air and ecology of our Provence . I had the priveldge of working with Bob on several committes and was always impressed with his albility to bring his Practical concerns and solutions to the discussion while understanding the need to have sustainable industrial and commercial enterprise in Nova Scotia. I am truely sorry to have his wise council silenced . I want to extend my sincere coldolences to Bob's family and friends . May he rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob years ago through the ACAP program. There are many qualities that characterised Bob but the one that defined him was his kind understanding. Even if you were wrong (as I often was) Bob would hear you out and recognize the merits of your points before he enlightened you.... what a gentleman. Like many, I learned a great deal from Bob. Rest in peace Bob.

I am so very sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I had worked with Bob for many years as part of the ACAP program, and was in awe of his dedication and passion for the environment. His heart was just as big, and I will never forget when Bob and Richard (his partner in crime) arrived at my office in Dartmouth 12 years ago to hand deliver a beautiful hand made bassinet to me just before my daughter was born. I will cherish that memory of Bob's kindness always. Rest in peace, Bob.
