I was so sorry to read of Florence’s passing. Dad and Mom (David and Delilah Hughes) thought so highly of and had the upmost respect for Florence and Stan. When we had the chance to visit, always a pleasure, with great stories and laughs. When mom passed, Florence would always call me once a month and I her. Florence was a Special Lady. Thinking of All. Fondly, Pamela Hughes, Dartmouth.

I met Florence & Stan as part of the Farm & Country B&B Association days in the 1980s. She never lost her broad Scottish accent & had no problem expressing her opinions! As we ate our lunch, Florence would relate the most marvellously funny stories about their B&B experiences. A great lady!

To:Heather Moore and all Florence's family:
Dear Heather: Evelyn and I were saddened to learn of yourdear mother's recent passing. We send along our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to you and all the family. We go back a long way and many fond memories along the way for close to 60yrs.And the one that comes to mind was when Evelyn and I were in Scotland on our 25th anniversary and visiting 'Burns Cottage' and museum and in the Visitor Book earlier the same day was Stan&Florence and the other two couples who were there with them.
We had a good laugh about that 'near miss'!To her memory I send along a 'silent' bagpipes Lament "Flowers of the Forrest"..
Sincerely,
JackMacIsaac
