Donnie, Chris Charles & family. We send our sincere condolences to all of you. Vi will be missed in the village and by all who knew her. She was a wonderful friend to me, when we moved to Sherbrooke. She took me under her wing. Glenn and I spent
many great times with Vi and Scotty. When our last daughter started school in Sherbrooke- Vi brought me the poem she had written when Charles started school. I passed that along to our daughter, when she left home. A special moment I remember when I think of Vi. She was sub- teaching primary on this day - our children walked home from school at noon-time. At noon hour I had a call from Vi - she said "now Ruth, Rebecca is coming home and she is walking in the ditch with her red boots on and they will be filled with water, don't scold the little dear" .It was an example of how she loved and cared for children and reached out to so many people as well .Glenn and I will remember her for the kindness and caring in reaching out to others. We have wonderful memories of Vi, a generous and compassionate person. We send our love to the family and our sadness for your loss. Love, Ruth and Glenn Ross

Dear Fraser family:
What a wonderful legacy Vi left to her family and community. She was always so supportive to both Sharon and me. Of course, Vi and Scottie were great friends of my parents and once we started to live and work in The Village, they befriended us in the same manner. We will miss our visits but hold wonderful memories in our hearts.

Much love to the family of Violet Fraser. A lovely lady! I always remember Mom(Sara Cunningham) telling us of Violet’s kind hospitality when Mom was pregnant with me. Because it was December Mom wanted to be closer to the Sherbrooke Hospital and so she stayed with Violet weeks before I was born. Also lovely memories of Violet at our CGIT reunion a few years ago.

Dear Donnie, Chris, Charles and all your families, the sad news of your mum's passing has reached us here in Australia. Vi was quite the lady and always had a smile for me when we passed by or met her on the street in Sherbrooke running errands, or enjoying a meal in Beanie's, arranging flowers near her home and a kind word in church each summer season wnen we would arrive. I do not however ever recall seeing her at the garage! I know she missed her Scot, and now they are both at peace. They both lived full and meaningful lives, but you will certainly miss her. Mums and Dads are special and we will love them always. They were lucky to have you, their three sons and families close by and I know your mum appreciated all you did for your father and then for her. She felt loved for sure.
Sending our love to you all across the oceans to Sherbrooke from Australia. Rob and Kim McGrail

I smiled to see beautiful Vi's photo come up online. Then realized why it was there. I had to call my Mom right then. I've known Vi since I was born I imagine. She always made such a fuss over my Dad when we saw her. She taught him in school when he was so little and she always called him Little Bobby Fraser. She never saw me in my lifetime that she didn't give me a squeeze. She was a dear lady. Beautiful inside and out. One of the precious memories of my childhood and life back home. I last saw her when I was home from the Yukon to visit Mom. She was in church at Bethany and waited until everyone else had passed by so we could hug and chat a little. She sent me some old photos and a some little trinkets a few years ago via a friend. I'll cherish them always. My condolences to all of her family, especially dear sister Edna. The Archibald's will always be a special part of my life. Love across the miles. Debbie Younker (Fraser) Whitehorse Yukon
