Obituary of Marcus Michael Denny

Please share a memory of Marcus to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marcus Michael Denny- 25- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Markie. Marcus was born at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow and lived in Pictou Landing First Nation for most of his young life. Growing up, Markie loved to do tricks on his BMX bike, he also liked playing sports at a young age like hockey, soccer, and enjoyed skateboarding. Above all, Markie had a passion for entrepreneurship, all he wanted was to make a living, buy a house and live his life to the fullest with his friends and family. He was such a genuine person that would do anything for his family. He had a kind soul and had so much love for his brothers. Markie will be missed by many; family meant a lot to him. Surviving are his father James Gillis of New Glasgow, his grandfather David Denny of Pictou Landing who helped raised Markie as a child, his maternal aunt Crystal of Pictou Landing who helped and took him in as her own, his siblings Jesse Denny, Aiden Denny, Bryson Denny, Austin (Destiny) Levi, Mark Augustine, Cynthia Denny and Davonia Augustine, all of Pictou Landing, his maternal aunts Cindy and Sandra Denny from Pictou Landing and Cheyenne Julian from Paqtnkek, his maternal uncles Jeffery Denny and Leroy (Natasha) Denny, from Pictou Landing, his paternal aunt Catherine Gillis of Alma, his girlfriend Savannah Wood from Truro, his close friends Daniel Prosper from Pictou Landing and Felicia Paul from Indian Brook, Godmother Laura Prosper from Pictou Landing, Godfather Gordie Denny, he will be so missed by his cousins Kathleen, Angeline, Charlie, Chasity, Christina, Conner, David, Jordon, Jake and Grayson and nephews Lucas, Drayson and Braven, niece Deidre and great nephew Arlo. Marcus was predeceased by his mother Priscilla Denny, his maternal grandmother Audrey Denny and his maternal uncle David Denny. His remains will rest at 26 Harbourview Crescent, Pictou Landing First Nation, home of Crystal Denny on Saturday. We are asking for the family to visit first. It will be open to the public Saturday evening. We will have Sunday evening prayers by Father Vincent Sunday evening around 5:30pm.
