Steven Craig Lemmon

It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Steven Craig Lemmon on September 1st 2024 at age 32, in Calgary, Alberta.

Steven was born on February 18th 1992 in the Aberdeen Hospital to Michelle Lemmon & the late David Lemmon Sr.

Steven attended school in New Glasgow. He graduated from North Nova Education Centre in 2010 and continued his education at Acadia University where he graduated with a double major in Accounting and Finance in 2014. He then went on to work in his field in Calgary, Alberta.

In his earlier years he enjoyed playing basketball at New Glasgow Junior High. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many fishing trips with his friends and his older brother David. He was an attentive father to his two son’s Jax and Parker who were his pride and joy. Steven was a kind and caring person. He was well spoken and had a great sense of humour. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed discussing them with his uncles. He enjoyed family gatherings and was an animal lover.

Steven was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by his two sons Jax and Parker, Calgary,his mother Michelle, a brother David (Shayna) and three nieces Adeline, Abigail and Alivia. Rae-Lyn Tyshkewich the mother of his two sons, Calgary. He will be dearly missed by his many Aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father David Lemmon Sr. His paternal grandparents Harold and Blanche Lemmon and maternal grandparents Henry and Virginia Heighton and cousin Cody Heighton.

His remains will rest in the H.W Angus Funeral Chapel in New Glasgow, visitation will be Thursday September 12th from 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday September 13th at 2pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton with Father MacDonald Ibeh presiding.

Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. A reception will follow at the parish hall. His funeral will be live streamed.
