With great sadness we announce that Elsie Christina MacDonald, 76 born in Sunny Brae passed on September 5th in New Glasgow; Aberdeen hospital.
Elsie is survived by two daughters, Sharon(Kevin), Kathy(Paul), and her son Peter(Nicole). Nine grandchildren Josie, Jessie, Christina, Alyssa, Roblyn, Katherine, Kolby, Victoria, Dustin, and several great-grandchildren.
Brothers and sisters: Mabel Rankin Kingston,Ont., Johnny(Mary) Priestville, Alex(Sharon), Fraser (Judy) Sunny Brae, Catherine (Martin) Parent Hillsdale,Ont., Florence (Hugh)Sutherland Springville, sister in- law Joanne, River Road.
Deceased by brothers Earl & Lawrence, Sister in-law Lilian, Brother in-law Robert Rankin, and sons Alex & George.
Elsie was a member of the Presbyterian Church in the East River Valley.
She was someone that wanted to make the people around her smile and laugh. The thing that would make you laugh the most was the stink eye she’d give you for anything silly you did. She was a kindhearted person that always wanted to be there for her family and friends.

The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. on Wednesday Sept 11 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home , a memorial service will be held on Thursday Sept 12 at 11 A.M. from St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church , St. Paul’s with Rev. Greg Dickson officiating .Burial will be in the Sunny Brae Cemetery.
