Helen Fraser age 98 of East River St Mary’s passed away peacefully at Glen Haven Manor with her family by her side on September 4th,2024 . Born January 13, 1926, Helen was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Chishlom) MacKay. Helen is survived by sons Hugh, Graham (Bonnie), daughters Liz (Andy) MacLennan, Arlene (George) MacLaughlin, Esther (Robert) Lawson. Grand children, Allistair and Kaylon Fraser, Matthew Lawson, Kelly Lawson (Jeff Roach), Jared MacLaughlin (Katie), Lisa Bryenton (Craig), Chelsey Stone (Johnathon), Nicholas Fraser (Kaitlyn Cormier), Jacob Fraser, Megan Lawson, Tyler Lawson (Alyssa). Great grandchildren, Jude Roach, Duncan and Thomas MacLaughlin, Brooklyn and Sophie Bryenton, Nathan and Caleb Stone and Jaxx Fraser. Sister, Peggy Wood, sisters' in-law, Beth MacKay, Cheryl MacKay and family friend Elaine MacInnis. Helen was predeceased by her husband Raymond Fraser, sister, Verna Purcell (Calgary), brothers, Louis, Jimmy, and Jack MacKay all of Truro. Sisters' in-law Ruth MacKay, Katherine Atkins and Hazel Smith. Brothers' in-law, Elmer, Angus and Dave Fraser, Fred Wood, Elmer Smith, Stan Atkins and Nephew Paul Purcell (Calgary). Special Thanks to the wonderful staff at Glen Haven Manor for the care they provided over the past years. Arrangements entrusted to H.W. Angus Funeral Home with visitation Saturday, September 7th from 3 to 6 pm and funeral service at H.W. Angus Chapel at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 8th with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiating. Reception to follow – family burial at Garden Of Eden Cemetary.
