Hopewell: William Foster Mayes, age 66, of Hopewell, Pictou County passed away on August 28th ,2024 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital. Bill was born in Barrie , Ont. and moved to Hopewell in 2006. Bill loved his family, hunting, motorcycles ,and working in the woods on his farm. He is survived by his partner of 35 years, Joanne Gillis, his sister Barbara Mayes, Midland, On., sons David, Cobourg, On., Christopher, Shelburne ,On and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Barry . Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service at Bill’s request.
