Robert Raymond Stancombe
January 11, 1950-August 18, 2024
With sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Bob fought a courageous battle with Parkinson Disease and brain cancer, never complaining of his circumstances. He was our “rock” and always the person turned to for advice or support. He was a “giver” who took great joy in helping others, often anonymously, never wanting attention on himself.
An avid gardener and carpenter, he took great pride in making our home a sanctuary for those he loved most. He had the best sense of humor and such a quick wit that he kept everyone on their toes. He filled our home and hearts with smiles and laughter.
His pride and joy came in the form of family, his children and grandchildren. He was always involved and always there if he was needed. His dedication and love was never questioned.
Bob was predeceased by his loving parents, Raymond and Yvonne (Field) Stancombe.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy (Hale), his daughter, Carly (Devon MacKay), and son, Dillon (Heidi Sinclair). He was also Papa to four beautiful grandsons, Gannon, Rourke and Barrett MacKay, and his youngest, Jordie Stancombe. He also leaves behind his sister, Jane (Ron MacDonald).
The family would like to thank the many doctors, health care workers, VON and home care staff for the care given to Bobby over the last twelve years. Also thanks to The Red Cross for supplying a hospital bed at home.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services, at his request. His family will have a Celebration of his Life, with those he held dearest, at a later date.

the memory becomes a treasure.”
