Samuel James "Sam" Boudreau Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our hero, Samuel J. Boudreau, age 82, of Westville. He passed away July 3, 2024 at the Aberdeen Hospital with loved ones by his side. He retired from Scott Paper in 1984 and at that time he enjoyed taking his grandson, Shawn, to the shooting ranges, yard-saling and antiquing. He enjoyed listening to country music and talking about the history and careers of his favourite country artists with his daughter, Karen. He would spend visits with his son, Frank, listening to his stories until his belly hurt from laughter. He was extremely proud of his granddaughter, Candice, for her successes in life. He enjoyed trips to The Valley to visit his brother, Roland. He loved having friends over to play live music and hear them play his favourite country songs on guitar. He is survived by his children Frank (Paula), Trenton; Karen (Bruce), Stellarton; David (Angela), Pictou; Kevin (Karen), Eureka; brother Roland (Vera), Clementsport; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Fred and Ruby; wife Joyce; brothers Jerry, Reid; sister Joyce. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Clementsport at a later date. There will be no funeral service or visitation at Sam’s request. Donations can be made in his memory to the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital. A special thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital for the outstanding care he had received. Dad, you will be the biggest and brightest star in the sky. Keep listening for country music, it will always be playing for you.
