Edith “Lourene” Cameron age 76 of Valley View Villa, Riverton passed away on July 4, 2024 at the Villa. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late James and Stella (McGee) Cameron.

Lourene grew up in the Mount Thom and Limerock area. She later moved to Truro and then Shelburne before moving back to Pictou County.

She is survived by her siblings Arlene Lambert, Shirley Forbes, Janice (Kenderick) Fraser, Louanne (Robert) Roddick, Sharon (Charles) Benoit, Louis (Anne) Cameron, Hugh Cameron, Iris (Robert) Smith, and Francis Cameron; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother Erving Cameron.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Monday, July 8, in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. There will be no funeral service by request. Burial will take place in the Durham Cemetery.
