Isabel Ellen MacDonald age, 89 of Glen Haven Manor formerly of Chisholm St., New Glasgow passed away on June 17, 2024 at the Glen Haven Manor.

Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Bert and Katherine (Keenan) Hayden.

Isabel was a resident of New Glasgow all her life where she was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by grandchildren Candee, Chad and Samantha Carter; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Sandra Munroe and Marion Hayden, several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald, son Donald Carter, brothers Bert, Tom, Jack; sisters Catherine MacLeod, Mabel Roach, a sister in infancy, step-father George Beck, and nephews Jackie Roach, Jimmy and Phill MacLeod.

There will be no visitation at Isabel’s request. A memorial service will be held in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, at 2 pm with Father Thomas MacNeil presiding. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, New Glasgow. A reception will follow in the funeral home.

Donations in memory of Isabel may be made to a charity of your choice.
