Edwin Donald Dobbin age 66, of Ivey’s Terrace Nursing Home, Trenton formerly of Marshdale and East River St. Mary’s passed away on June 5, 2024 at Ivey’ Terrace.

Born in Sherbrooke he was a son of the late Charles and Vera (Jewers) Dobbin.

Ed grew up in New Town, Guysborough County. He worked in the woods and later went to work for Maritime Steel in New Glasgow.

Edwin is survived by sisters Diane (Bill) Olsen, Lorraine MacDonald, Louise (John) Harpell, Barb (Victor) Newcombe, brother Victor (Vickie) Dobbin; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers Gary, Doug

At Ed’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Valley View Cemetery, East River St. Mary’s.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ivey’s Terrace for the excellent care Ed received.
