Obituary of Brian Michael Moser

Please share a memory of Brian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Brian Michael Moser, 66 of Glencoe passed away Monday June 3 surrounded by the love of his family. Born the son of Alex and Beulah Moser, Brian was raised in Caledonia with his six siblings on as he would say "country sunshine." Brian’s affinity for all things outdoors was a huge part of who he was, fishing and hunting with the boys and spending time at the camp was one of his most cherished activities. In his early years His love for the outdoors led him to a career in forestry of 46 years, from a woodsman to a porter operator and an owner operator at Future Forestry, every Friday night the guys would gather there and lose track of time, friendships and memories were made and from time to time the stories still surface. Brian was no stranger to a hard day’s work in fact we truly believe he looked forward to them. This did not end with his job, in his spare time Brian became a jack of all trades, a master mechanic fixing everything from broken toys to rebuilding his old chevy truck from the bare frame, to which he was told ‘you can’t do that” so he did it, not once but twice. Brian’s personality was like a beacon of light that shone through in everything he did, a trait that would last throughout his entire lifetime. Not long after he started working he met a young girl named Linda, she entranced him with her musical talents and beautiful singing voice, soon after they were married. They had four beautiful children and five grandchildren whom he loved more than anything and could not wait to teach them everything he could. Brian was a smart, honest salt of the earth guy, he never hesitated to help anyone at any time no matter the problem, becoming everyone’s “go to guy” and he never refused. In this light many saw him as not just a friend but more as a mentor. He was never one to sit still it was a common occurance for him to casually pop in just to see if you wanted to go “on an adventure”, his sense of humor and love for a good teasing always made for a good laugh. Brian had interests in vehicles and machines, electronics of all sorts spending countless hours in his garage until his current project was completed. He appreciated the simplier things in life some good old johnny Cash, a good potato and some cold beer with good friends was a near perfect day but If there was one thing Brian truly excelled at it was to playfully taunt those around them, to which you could not help but crack a smile. Brian's unwavering love for his loved ones will never be forgotten, to us he was more than a loving husband, a beloved dad, the best brother, an incredible grampie, a great cousin and a cherished friend, he was a legend. Brian is predeceased by his parents Alex and Beulah Moser, grandparents Bert and Annie Moser and his brother-in-law Dana Acheson. Brian will be greatly missed by his loving wife Linda, children Michael (Cheryl) Elgin Sterling Glencoe, Billy (Shannon) Glencoe, Natasha (Todd) St. Paul’s, Grandchildren Bernie (Amber), Angus, Ben, Emma and Drew, siblings Alan (Shelly) Truro, Glen (Colleen) Black Point, Rollie (Donna) Lochbroom, Wilma (Randy) Sheet Harbour, Sterling (Cathy) Stellarton and Sandra (Trevor) Sheet Harbour, countless cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his old dog, Blue. We will miss you more than you’ll ever know, we will never forget the man who gave us so much to remember. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday June 22 from 2-5pm at Eureka firehall. No flowers or donations, Brian would rather you enjoy a cold beer and toast to the good times had.
