Audrey Aileen Hodgson age 80 of MacPhersons Mills passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Born in Antigonish, she was the daughter of the late Jean (Stewart) MacKeen and step daughter to the late Sterling MacKeen. Audrey loved nothing more than her family. She also loved to have games and card nights, she had a great passion for her flower gardens, enjoyed a good novel and watching birds feed in her yard. Surviving is her husband of almost 61 years MacKay - sons: Vaughn (Ellen), Nine Mile River; Roger (Myrna), Blue Mountain; Paul (Greta), MacLellans Brook; Dale (Debbie), MacPhersons Mills - grandchildren: Michaela (Keigan), Nicholas (Katherine), Anika (Grant), Paige (Jordan) and Haylee - great grandchildren: Sullivan, Elliott, Cooper, and Wesley - brothers: Melvin, Halifax; Jack (Mark), Toronto; Donnie (Laurie), Aspen – sister-in-law Margie, Sackville – nieces: Candra, Allie and Kitty – nephews: Kristin (Kayla) and Jesse - great nieces: Reese, Reagan, and Brynlee. Audrey was pre-deceased by her brother, Vernon; sister, June; and nephew, Doug. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Fuhrmann and Dr. MacKean for the many years of excellent care. There will be no visitation at the family’s request and a small family service.
