Obituary of Judy Marie Cornett

Please share a memory of Judy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
September 2,1949 - May 21, 2024 On Tuesday May 21 with her family by her side it is with profound sadness we said good-bye to our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Judy Marie (Livingstone) Cornett. Judy was an only child to and predeceased by her parents John Irving Livingstone and Jean Elizabeth (Milley) Livingstone. She was also predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Robert Peter Cornett who will be awaiting her arrival. Judy started her working career at Clartone where she explained to us she made radios. Taking time off from there to have her children. Upon returning to work she joined ServiceMaster for a number of years. Later on so she would be able to spend more time with her family she managed the Salvation Army Thrift Store until after a few years there she retired from the working world for good. Judy may have retired but that by no means slowed her down she loved caring for and spending time with her family. Teaching them to cook. How to knit.. many weekend movie marathons. Long walks no matter the time of day... sometimes so she could give you advice or mostly just to listen. Most of all she taught us by example how to love and take care of each other. " To know her was to love her" Judy leaves to cherish her loving memories, her children Jean Champion (Alex) Pictou Robert Cornett (Carla) Trenton, her two Granddaughters, Synthia Champion (Harlen) New Glasgow Erica Champion (Kyle) Stellarton Bonus Grandchildren; Morgan Greenlaw (John) New Glasgow and Nathan Greenlaw Pictou. The absolute lights of her life her three great grandchildren; Scarlett , Riley and Nate. Judy spent the last 6 years residing at the Oddfellows home in Pictou. Where she absolutely enjoyed her time. Mostly teasing the staff with her tattoo jokes or pretending she was going to "mow them over!!" in her wheelchair. Special thanks to all the residents and staff of the Oddfellows. You are all exceptional. A Thanks to the urology team at the Victoria General greater care could not have been taken. Can not express enough the Heartfelt Gratitude to the staff of the Aberdeen Palliative Care unit. Proverbs 31:28&29 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her; Many women here have done excellently, but you surpass them all. Celebration of Life services to be announced at a later date.
