Obituary of Wayne Ross

Hopewell; Robert “Wayne” Ross age 83 of the Valley View Villa formerly of Hopewell passed away on Sunday April 14, 2024 in the Villa. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Robert and Thelma (Horne) Ross.
Wayne served in the Canadian Army from 1959 until 1962. He then resided in the United States for 24 years returning to Hopewell in 1989 to help care for his parents. Wayne was a member of Branch #28 Royal Canadian Legion. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Hopewell. Wayne was a kind soul and a friend to many.
He is survived by his best friend Jackaleen Logan and her family , brothers; Arnie and Paul, sister-in-law Ann Marie also several nieces and nephews and special friends Marlene and (the late Lloyd )Langille and family
Wayne was predeceased by his parents, brothers Ralph and Ronnie, a sister Lorraine.
Cremation has taken place, a public memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, April 20, 2024 from First Presbyterian Church Hopewell, with Rev. Bonnie Langille officiating. Burial will be in the Lorne Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall.
Donations in his memory may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Hopewell. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Valley View Villa for their kindness shown to Wayne while he was resident there.
