To the Holmes' family from the Randall family. It is with sadness and good memories that we send our condolences. Joan has many good memories with Laura and Winnifred in Laura's childhood home in James River. Going to the beach was especially memorable. Over the years as our families grew and commitments expanded, we continued to stay connected. We will always value these memories.

Laura was a good friend and room mate. We miss her, but we take comfort in the good times we shared - laughing and enjoying adventures, activities, treats and visits at Valley View Villa. Adjusting and adapting to the changes life brings, finding new friends and increasing our circle of support and care on that journey of adapting is a wonderful example for us all.
To Laura’s loving family - You were kind and supportive to your Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother visiting and sharing your live's with her. We hope that fond memories and the knowledge of sharing a life well lived will offer comfort and support to you all.

I knew your parents when they were newly married
& I babysat Diane & Frances a number of times.
At that time I was living in Linacy with my parents.
I had forgotten that Gloria & Laura shared the same birthday.
Over the years we had seen Laura & Mack on a few occasions & always enjoyed reminiscing with them.

our most sincere condolences to the holmes family for your loss.i started driving a truck years ago, and had the good fortune to start at md holmes trucking,the pay was always there, the trucks were in excellent shape but beyond that, when we were busy or working away laura would always call my wife and see if she needed anything or a drive anywhere. i will never forget that. thank you laura and mack..

Sheila and the entire Holmes family, I am so saddened to hear of your dear Mom’s passing. Such a beautiful obituary and tribute to her. I have such fond memories of my weekend stays with Sheila. Your Mom was always so welcoming and made me feel like part of the family. Upon my move to Calgary she sent me her homemade Christmas tree decorations. To this day I hang them every year, with the thought of her and my time spent on the Riverton Rd, I treasure them dearly. May all her wonderful memories give you comfort, thinking of you all at this most difficult time.
