Carol Isabel Fraser
July 16, 1939 – February 24, 2024.
Carol grew up in Fishermans Harbour, NS. Graduated from St. Mary’s High School 1956. And graduated from Aberdeen School of Nursing in 1959. Married Hugh M Fraser in April 1961. Happily, they resided in Greenwood and had three children Michael (Linda), Susan Lank (Mike) & Robert (Marjorie); 4 grandchildren Madison & Jaden Fraser, Brendan Lank & Kristen Godfrey (Jordin); 2 great grandchildren Keaton Fraser & Gannon Godfrey. Also surviving Carol was her brother Lockie (Mabel) Bingley
Carol loved reading, knitting, coaching ringette, camping, bowling with the Michelin Retirees and spending time with her family and friends. A cup of tea and baked goods were always available.
Predeceasing Carol was her Parents Percy Beiswanger & Gladys Bingley, Husband Hugh Fraser, Sister Margaret Clark, Brother-in-law Sheldon Clark, Sister-in-law Dianne MacCulloch.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday, March 1, 2024 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral services will be held 2pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 in the Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn with Rev. Gregory Dickson officiating.
Burial will be in the MacPherson’s Mills Cemetery at a later date.
Donations may be made to MacPhersons Mills Cemetery, Union Presbyterian Church (Thorburn), Alzheimer Society, Fishermans Harbour Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
